Is Cillian Walsh the new Liam Dempsey

IFKYK! Haha! Sorry, I had to. If you don’t know, then you NEED to get RSVP Plus One. I try not to have favourites when developing my characters. And sure enough, at first, I thought Tom from Hearts in Edinburgh was it for me. When I was writing that book, he reminded me of someone I once knew many, many moons ago. And then Liam popped up out of nowhere, and though I didn’t think of him as the perfect guy, my readers made me think otherwise. Honestly, the amount of comments and DMs I STILL receive asking for more of Liam Dempsey is insane.

Though, having now written several books—for more on that, hit this button—I can confirm that I don’t have favourites—all the men in my books are my favourites 🙂 *cough cough*

But I often wonder what my readers think of the characters in my books. Not just the main ones but the side characters, too. I appreciated the feedback from many who wanted spinoff stories about the secondary characters in The Return—and I may oblige them one day.

In my newest book series, Offshore, we meet Cillian Walsh. An Irish hunk of a man with brown hair and steely grey eyes. He is blissfully ignorant of his charm and sex appeal. And this makes him even more alluring (can we use that word to describe a man?)

Well, when we meet Cillian, he has done something rather naughty—he’s stolen something that belongs to our female lead. You’d think that would put him in the doghouse, but the minute she sees his rear-end, well, let’s just say his punishment isn’t to be put in the corner—at least not by himself.

I will admit, Cillian got me a little hot and bothered in the first book—Porto Proposal—and he nearly beat Liam in the race to my leading man. Nearly.

I’m going to leave it up to you, dear reader, to decide if Cillian is worth the hype. And, if Liam is still your number one pick, you may want to get your hands on book two in the Offshore series—Dubai Dalliances. Cillian might change your mind!

And, if you have read this far, you will have realised I have yet to confirm who my leading man is in my growing list of self-published books…

I’ll never tell…

XOXO,
Gretchen W
