Mailing list

I’m quite late on this one and have a valid reason. In the early 2000s, when I started working, I signed up to so many weekly magazines, quarterly wine updates, and daily newsletters from random bloggers. It was a thing, and I wanted to be in the club with those who read about the latest fashion or who snogged who at the Oscars afterparty, etc. Two years later, my inbox was going on two thousand unopened emails from blogs, magazines, and newspapers that I no longer found interesting. It’s like the follow button on social media these days, except that the algorithms tell you what is important to see.

However, having done extensive research recently—and because I really want to give it a big push with my books this year—I learned that having a mailing list and growing that mailing list is just as important as publishing a polished book.

So, having said that, if you would like to keep up to date with all things Gretchen; if you would like to hear about books I am currently reading and recommending; if hearing from me out of the blue is something you might be keen on, go on and fill out the form below.

I promise I won’t sell your information or hand out your email to random strangers. And I doubt I’ll be spamming you on a daily basis—I haven’t got time for that, to be honest. And if you know any other like-minded readers who wouldn’t mind getting a newsletter now and then (perhaps even free books now and then), send them to this post and get them to subscribe.

Here’s to growing my mailing list and putting my books in front of people who actually will take the time to read them.
