July/August Beta Readers Needed

Hey, guys. How are you all doing? Well, I simply can’t believe where the time has gone. We are already into the second half of 2022. What do you still have on your to-do list for this year? Are you making progress? Do you feel like you could have done more in the first half of 2022?

Well, I have been taking stock of things recently. And even though I recently released a romance novel—The Return—I feel like I’ve not done enough over the last six months. And with that in mind, I’ve gone and challenged myself in my writing.

As such, I have two first draft manuscripts that I would love to get feedback on. That is where my Beta Readers come in. Yes. You! I need a couple of readers who have the time and are willing to give thorough feedback on one of my works-in-progress.

Now, please do not comment / reply if you are just going to read part of the book and then let it lie in a corner gathering dust. If you do not have the time and / or are not willing to give me the feedback that I need, let’s not waste each other’s time. Also, I write clean, sweet, closed-door romance. If you are looking for Fifty Shades of anything, these books are not for you.

If however, you are interested, I will be happy to send you a pdf copy of my first draft as well as a list of questions you will have to answer after you have finished reading. To show your interest, you have loads of options:

  • Comment on this blog post with your interest as well as an email address
  • Comment on either my Instagram post or my Facebook post
  • Slide into my DM’s on any of my social media platforms
  • Or just holla at me if you are lucky enough to have my number

Now for the good part: giving you a little info on the books:

First book: Novella—25k word count
The Porto Proposal (It’s a working title)
Clean romance with a bit of steam
Set in Porto (as the title suggests)
Deadline for feedback: 8th August

Second book: Full length novel—60k word count
Untitled
Clean romance, lots of drama
Set in Scotland
Deadline for feedback: 29th August

Obviously, since it is first draft, there will be spelling mistakes, you can expect grammatical errors, and you may find that you don’t like the characters much. That’s what first drafts are and this is why authors have beta readers—so we can use the feedback we receive from you to improve our works-in-progress.

So, are you interested? Please, only respond if you have the time and will be able to meet the deadline. I understand that life can get in the way and sometimes things pop up. So, if you think you may not be able to get to the book and give it the time it deserves, I’d rather have someone else read it and meet the deadline.

So yeah, there you have it. Are you up to the challenge? Hit me up!
