Y’all!!!!! If you don’t follow me on Instagram or Facebook, then you may have missed some important news. I revealed the book cover and title other day and only just realised I haven’t even blogged about it. So here goes…
My new upcoming book, The Return is part of a brand new book series I fondly call The Birch Creek Series. Birch Creek is a fictional small town in Oregon, USA—population 4312. The founding families settled here 150 years ago, and the town grew into a quiet, friendly and welcoming place.
Initially, The Return was going to be a standalone novel. I had started the story in 2016 but at the time, felt it wasn’t yet ready to be told. So it’s been hiding in plain sight on my ‘incomplete’ books external hard drive.
Now it is ready to see the light of day. And three beta readers have already read the unpolished, unedited, raw novel. And one of the things that came back in the feedback was: we was to know more about the other characters and where they are now. So, I plan on giving my readers exactly what they want.
The Return will be book 1, and honestly it can also be a standalone novel. I don’t think that it’s going to be a book series where you are going to be ‘lost’ if you haven’t read one of the other Birch Creek books. At least, right now that is the plan. I’m so excited about this series and I can’t wait for you all to get to know the characters.
