I don’t do this for the money. Okay, maybe I do. In the current climate, I think everyone could do with a little bit of extra income. So, yes, it’s great to have a side hustle where I can add to my family’s financial freedom. But if I were honest, I would say the financial aspect of being an author is 5%. The rest is because…
I love books. Seriously, I would spend hours with my head in a book growing up. I enjoy reading very much. In primary school, I was awarded ‘Librarian of the Year’ along with my best friend at the time. My mum would drop me at school in the mornings, and I would head to the library. I spent every recess in the library and would go there after school as well. I was allowed to be junior librarian and devoured book after book.
In high school, I would go to the city library after school and while others went there to make out, I found my love for Stephen King, Dean Koonts, Danielle Steel. I spent more time in a library than I did anywhere else in my youth. I enjoyed the worlds these authors created, the characters, the intricately woven storylines. I got lost in those books. Fridays meant my had at least four full length novels in my backpack – that was my weekend entertainment.
And this is why I write: I want my readers to get lost in the world I create. Fall in love with my characters. Feel what my characters feel. Especially in the world we currently live in, I want to take my reader away from their reality, even if it is a short time.
And so, when I get messages via whatapp or over on my socials like the ones below, I’m encouraged to continue doing what I do. Thank you to everyone who has reached out so far. Your kind words have raised my spirits and keep me doing what I love to do.
If you haven’t already purchased any of my books, see what others have already said:
I read 5 books of yours on Kindle over the past months and I thoroughly enjoyed them! Work has been so intense lately that I really enjoyed escaping into Romance novels, yours were such a breath of fresh air.
I just love every character in your book, you create such elaborate lives and stories around them, I am so impressed how you can come up with stuff like that!

I love it! I’m intrigued how you come up with the details in between, the small stuff to fill the scenes. You have serious talent!! You really do!!
My life feels empty with no more Liam.

Goodness, it’s a little difficult to feel anything but feels for your male leads when they are as gorgeous as you describe them.
Where was Liam in the 90’s?

Why do I feel like I know Tom?

You write clean romance. But you certainly want your reader to read between the lines. Jacob is hottttt!

I would like to move to St. Trias please.

How do you come up with your characters? Seriously, where can I meet Henry? I feel like he and I would get along. Like, famously 🙂
– Red Carpets & Wellingtons
I have read all your books now. And all I say is: Please give us more characters like Liam.

And these are but a few of the private messages I have received. After reading these, don’t you just want to hop onto Amazon and download these books? I can’t promise you will love each book. But you will have gotten lost in the stories nonetheless. And that is all I can ask for.
Please, don’t forget to review my books once you have finished. Why? You may ask. Go check out this blog post and read about why it is so important to leave your honest and unbiased review.
Till next time, Lovelies. Thank you for supporting my craft. I appreciate each and every one of you!
